EX-Saints defender Garry Monk was at the centre of a Swansea City training ground bust-up with a team-mate that ended with police being called.
A member of the public called the police after seeing Chico Flores allegedly pick up a brick in a confrontation with Monk.
A Swansea spokesman said: "Chico Flores and Garry Monk had an exchange of views, which is not uncommon between players in training grounds across the country, but no threats or altercations took place between the players in question."
The 34-year-old Monk spent eight years at Saints - from 1996 to 2004 - and has played over 200 league games for Swansea in all four divisions.
He has only made one senior appearance this season, in a League Cup tie against Birmingham.
