Odds slashed on Sam Allardyce to be replaced by Harry Redknapp at West Ham

Sam Allardyce Sam Allardyce

Coral bookmakers have slashed their odds on West Ham’s Sam Allardyce being the first Premier League manager to leave his job this season.

Following speculation that ex-Saints boss Harry Redknapp is being lined up as his replacement, Coral bookmakers now have Allardyce a 2/1 favourite to be the first top flight boss to lose his job.

Allardyce guided the Hammers to Championship promotion via the play-offs last season.

This season they started with a 1-0 home win over Aston Villa but were beaten 3-0 at Swansea last weekend.

Redknapp played for West Ham in the 1970s and managed the club from 1994-2001.

Yes, the odds on Allardyce being the next Premiership manager to lose his job have ben drastically cut, so he is now narrowly ahead of even the bookies established favourite - Nigel Adkins.

West Ham - another club for 'Arry to put through the financial grinder? I just hope the Directors are tight on what he can spend!

Nigel Adkins will be first to go if he keeps playing Guly. Lots of nice touches and no end product, its like playing with 10 men. I would like to know what Richard Chaplow thinks when he can't even get on the bench.
