Trojans Ladies are targeting a top-three finish in the Investec England Hockey Western Conference after coming from behind to beat Gloucester City 2-1 in at Stoneham Lane.
Second half goals by Sally Gibson and Rachel Rountree earned Trojans their win and joint third place alongside Oxford Hawks.
Trojans have two games left – at Bristol Firebrands on Saturday before closing their programme against Isca University on March 22.
It didn’t look quite so good for Trojans when Zoe Burford lobbed Gloucester City into a second-half lead in the Stoneham sunshine.
But the visitors cracked under increasing pressure, with Gibson scoring a 46th minute equaliser with a low shot.
Trojans forced numerous penalty corners before they got their winner – ironically from a set-piece which appeared to go wrong.
But Jenny Peebles retrieved the situation by picking out Rountree, who scored the winner with six minutes left.
