Southend’s Adam Hickey was runner-up today, 29 seconds behind Wicks.

Daily Echo:

The first local runner to finish was Winchester’s Chris Powner (above, 30 mins and 24 seconds) and Southampton’s Alex Wall-Clarke eighth in 31 minutes and 31 seconds.

Winchester’s Alan Murchison was ninth in 31 minutes and 42 seconds, the first male over 40 to finish.

The first woman to finish was Basildon’s Gemma Kersey. She was 76th overall in 34 minutes and 33 seconds - well outside the female course record of 32 minutes and 48 seconds set by Laura Kenney four years ago.
