Vine players will be crowned kings of the Itchen & District League on Monday night in front of one of dart’s biggest legends.

Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley will be at Bitterne RBL where The Vine will pick up the league title.

They wrapped up the silverware last week with a 5-3 win at West End Brewery.

The team dropped just one game during the summer season but second-placed Roll Call went one better. They were never beaten but lost points with six draws compared to Vine’s two.

Anyone is welcome to go along to meet Priestley with a charge of £5 on the door.

Tony Stansmore finished off his season with a 117 game shot for Roll Call and teammate Ian Goodyer hit a 105 finish.

Waterside Charity Men’s League: Stu Court’s 120 finish was the best from a handful of league games in week 16.

In the ladies’ league, Sue Byrom checked out on 89 for Travellers Rest B.

Freemantle, Shirley & District: There were plenty of maximums flying around in week 14 of league competition, but Connor Greenough’s 100 game shot for Park B in Division 3 was the best check-out.

Totton & District League: Peg & Parrot have made a late bid for league honours by defeating Players on their home oche.

Peg won 5-4 while Normans lost out by the same scoreline to complete the reshuffle at the top of the table.

Rupert Eldridge hit a 112 game shot for The Keys.

Bitterne Park Mixed League: Drummond defeated Eastleigh FC 5-1 to reach the knock-out final. There they will face Rover, who beat Ice House 5-4. Jane Phillips hit a 101 shot out.
