IT’S the eighth season in a row that junior members of Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club have progressed to the last 16 of the English Under-14 Championship.
Mickey Joyce and Jamie Wilson booked trips to Leeds next February via the southern region qualifier at Frames Sports Bar, Coulsdon, Croydon.
The pair also made the final stages last season. In fact, it’ll be Wilson’s third appearance - but neither has yet won a match.
Joyce won all five games in his round-robin group to qualify in style.
The 11-year-old from Basingstoke defeated James Beaven (Surrey) 2-1, Reggie Edwards (Norwich) 3-0, Brandon Nguyen (Kent) 3-0, Bradley Cowdroy (Bournemouth) 2-1 and Amjad Pervez 3-0.
Wilson, from Portsmouth, who turned 11 last Tuesday, finished second in his group with one defeat.
