TIM Alexander took full advantage of warmer water temperatures to land a personal best catch.

He landed the biggest fish reported this week with a common of 38lb 8oz from The New Forest Water Park. Alexander took the fish, known as The Long Common, on a C.C Moore Live System boilie.

Cormorants’ club match on the Lower Lake at Broadlands saw Andy Hayden win for the second day running. Hayden took 101lb 10oz of carp to 10lb on pole and corn in the margins from peg 19. Others: Paul Hough seven carp for 41lb; D Mayers 40lb 8oz, D Nightingale 38lb 15oz, P Newman 36lb 2oz; D Hydes 32lb 14oz.

The Salmon Leap’s pairs match on the Match Lake at Dandy’s Ford was won by Paul Lloyd and Bob Chapman who both fished pole and pellet to land 115lb of carp to 6lb.

Steve Cross and Roger Mills were second with 99lb 14oz of carp to 5lb on pole and corn.

Paul White won the Eastleigh club match on Witherington Farm.

He took 57lb of carp on pole and maggot from peg 10 on Cottage Lake.

Steve Pomery finished second with 40lb 12oz on Barnmoor Lake which included carp of 23lb and 11lb plus skimmers on the method feeder from peg 2. Others: A Hillman 40lb, J Clark 33lb 4oz, C Egerton 30lb 12oz and J Rowlands 24lb 2oz.

Gary Naylor won Eastleigh’s club match on the Top Lake at Stoneham.

He landed 12 bream for 44lb 15oz on a mixture of pole and feeder tactics.
