DANI King makes her cycling comeback this weekend thanks to a psychiatrist who has worked with Ronnie O’Sullivan and Steven Gerrard.
The Olympic track star suffered eight broken ribs and a collapsed lung while training in south Wales five months ago.
But she will return to action at this weekend’s Tour of the Reservoir in Northumberland, thanks to help from Dr Steve Peters, who has also worked with Sir Bradley Wiggins, Sir Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton.
"I'm really looking forward to racing now - I feel really ready," the Wiggle Honda star told BBC Radio Solent. "I've come really far and just need to get stuck in and get into it.
“It's time to put the accident behind me and just move on with the season. I don't want to dwell on it."
