HAMPSHIRE hockey star Alex Danson helped GB maintain their 100 per cent women's hockey run at the Rio Olympics.
The Southampton-born striker struck the winner four minutes from time to give GB a 2-1 win over main Pool B rivals the United States.
GB, bronze medallists at London 2012, had trailed before Sophie Bray grabbed an equaliser in Deodoro by cancelling out Michelle Vittese's strike.
Britain finished top of Pool B with five wins out of five, and will now face Spain in the quarter final tonight (10pm GMT).
