Totton Rec had a superb 5-1 win against visitors Churchills Eastleigh in the Southampton Billiards league.

Totton’s Brian Cannons got his team off to the perfect start by overcoming Mike Henstredge 200-153, but Churchills hit back with captain Paul Adams (52) beating Mick Kunzi 200-85.

That was his team’s only success, though, as Totton’s Tony Aldridge (30) defeated Derek Foster 200-84, Matt Osborne beat Dave Baker 200-160 and Keith Castles beating Peter Green 200-183.

Park Gate RBL welcomed Curdridge RBL and won three tables, but lost the team total points aggregate 899-881.

Curdridge’s Rob Smith beat Paul Tavender 200-151 and Richard Marshall made it 2-0 when he beat Chris Christodoulou 200-130.

Park Gate roared back with wins for Paul Lawrence over Brian Bull 200-153, Chris Pullen against Clive Gamblin 200-158 and Ian Finch against Trevor Harris 200-188.

Chandlers Ford won again against Sarisbury.

Chandlers started well as Daniel Zagaroli (34, 30, 38, 32, 37, and 41) froze out John Oldfield. Sarisbury replied with Kas Remzi overcoming Terry Azor (58) 200-75 to level at 1-1.

Chandlers’ Mike Thatcher made it 2-1 by beating Geoff Knapp 200-151.

Sarisbury’s Jeff James levelled as he beat Graham Hollick 200-185. Chandlers’ Dave White beat Norman Bradfield by 200-132 to win the aggregate 865-809.

In a rearranged match from the first week, Hamble Social beat St Denys Cons 4-2, as they played off the original handicaps.

Winners for St Denys were Chris Bishop (36) over Rob Shattock 200-155 and Mark Emm against Mark Spridgeon 200-187.

Hamble’s victors were Tony Spridgeon, Paul Knights and Will Mildenhall over Derek King 200-108, Graham Garside 200-170 and Willie Clarke 200-145 respectively to win the aggregate 942-823.
