Jason Clabon took a new UK personal best carp of 50 lb 2 oz from The Blackwater Syndicate on The Isle of Wight when he landed lake record carp Dave at 50 lb 2 oz along with an 18 lb common.

He fished at the narrow end of the lake and placed three baits on the far bank with 70 to 80 C.C Moore Live System Boilies over each spot.

Bait was a Carp Company white chewy special pop up and a running lead.

Steve Kitcher also had a fantastic Blackwater haul with fish of 46 lb 4 oz, 40 lb 8 oz and 31 lb. Dan Russell took a 25 lb 15 oz.

Also on The Island, Lee Sawyer took five carp from Rookley Park to continue a good run on the water with Single Scale at 29 lb 15 oz, a 25 lb 10 oz common plus a brace of 22 lb mirrors and an upper double.

Todber also had a bust week with Paddock in great form.

Roger Smith landed five carp topped by the Banana Linear at 28 lb 12 oz on C.C Moore Pink NS1 and maggot.

Tom Butler took a personal best mirror at 26 lb along with a 24 lb and Paul Richardson took three carp topped by fish of 21 lb 12 oz and 22 lb and Lee Wagstaff landed a 20 lb.

On Little Hayes, Reece Searle landed 11 carp with 2 over 20 lb. Bill Dorset did several day sessions and landed 18 carp to 24 lb.

Aiden Dorset landed four carp to 17 lb 18 oz and Rich Heath two carp including a personal best mirror of 25 lb 10 oz.

On Big Hayes, Dean Mathers landed four carp to 25 lb, Pete Richards took a 20 lb common and a 24 lb mirror, and Grant Westlake took four carp to 20 lb.

On Willow Bank Matt Gregory took five carp to 22 lb 12 oz and Simon Legg took a 21 lb 5 oz ghostie.

Wadmill also fished well with Steve Hunt landing 11 carp to 16 lb 10 oz in a day session, while Yonko Andonov landed 11 carp to 13 lb.

Lee Woodhouse won Division 1 when the first round of The Snows Toyotas League took place on Orchard Match Lake.

He took 75 lb 7 oz of carp to 4 lb on bread and maggot on the long pole down the margins to win from peg 33. Rick Kajko finished second with 70 lb 2 oz of carp on bread and maggot from peg 1.

Others: C.Albiston 45 lb 12 oz, R.Penny 33 lb 8 oz.

Division Two went to John Clark who took 29 lb of carp to 3 lb on the long pole and maggot from peg 16.

Dave Carver finished second from peg 27 with 24 lb 2 oz of carp on maggot and long pole.

Others D.Rickwood 21 lb 12 oz, C.Egerton 19 lb 8 oz.

Relegated from Division One were Mark Blake, Jem Turner, Terry Hiscock, Dave Moody and Paul White.

Promoted from Division Two were John Clark, Clive Egerton, Andy Wordsley, Dave Carver and Dave Rickwood.

The second round takes place on the Top Lake at Stoneham on March 12.

Cormorants' Club Match on the Lower Lake at Broadlands was a scrappy affair which Lee Goodfellow won with 69 lb 2 oz of carp to 6 lb on the pole and maggot, corn and pellet from peg 18.

In addition to netting £70, he also won the golden peg pool worth £250.

Dwayne Seed finished second with 38 lb 4 oz of carp on pole and maggot from peg 17.

Chub dominated the Salisbury club match on The River Nadder.

Ian Heydon took 16 chub for 38 lb 12 oz on waggler and maggot to win from Steve Brown, who reeled in 18 chub for 32 lb 12 oz on waggler and maggot.

Basingstoke Railway fished the Match Lake at Dandys Ford. Colin Harris took 92 lb 8 oz of carp on pole and corn from peg 13 to win from Pete Howes with 87 lb 8 oz from peg 23 on pole and maggot.

The Silvers League Match on Lodge Lake at Dandys Ford went to Chris Opie who took 11 lb 4 oz of roach and perch on pole and maggot from peg 18.

Martin Flack finished second with 6 lb 14 ox of roach from peg 15.

Alex Murray finished second with 48 lb 12 oz of carp from peg 90 on Home Ground with Ash Tomkins third with 41 lb 4 oz of carp from peg 74 on Ash.

John Candy won the silvers with 21 lb 2 oz on pole and maggot from Home Ground.
