Winchester & District Athletic Club young athletes took part in the final Hampshire Sportshall League match at Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth.

Both the Under 11 Girls and Under 13 Boys team have dominated their categories and finished as champions in their respective categories.

In addition the Under 11 Boys and Under 13 Girls teams both ended up third.

The Under 11 girls also took top awards in the Individual aggregate positions.

Despite missing the final match through injury, Beth Thorpe was first overall with Emma Shedden second and Jasmine Jones fourth.

Shedden won the final event while Jones was seventh, Anisha Mathema 16th and Grace Cahill 18th.

Winchester were nudged into second place by New Forest Juniors but won the title due to three previous team victories.

Winchester Under 13 Boys again easily won their team event on the day.

Doug Scally was second on the day - and also second overall for the season - while Charlie Foster 5th Sam Roberts 6th and Iwan Wrey-Brown 7th also impressed.

Overall, Wrey-Brown was 3rd Foster 6th Roberts 7th and Ted Culley 14th.

Under 11 Boy Billy Brackley was rewarded with second place overall for the season, while Euan Holm was sixth overall.

Freya Brannigan was fourth on the day and also overall in the Under 13 girls group.

Grace White was 5th on the day and 6th overall for the season.

In the Under 15 Girls individual event, Serena Charles was third on the day and overall and Sophie Torrance 4th on the day and 5th overall.

Winchester had representation for Hampshire at the Under 13 and Under 15 Sportshall Regional Championships at Burgess Hill through Freya Brannigan, Grace White (U13G), Doug Scally, Iwan Wrey-Brown, Sam Roberts, Charlie Foster (U13B), Serena Charles, Alina Eichhorst and Sophie Torrance (U15G).
