Southampton Solent University pace bowler Joe Butcher took a stunning career-best 7-27 as Cambridge MCCU were skittled for a meagre 65.
That was on their way to being thrashed by eight wickets by a Team Solent side that has now won four of its five British Universities Championship matches and is on course for the semi-finals.
The Abingdon Vale third year student grabbed the first seven wickets as the Light Blues lurched to 40-7 in only 18 overs before creeping up to 65.
That was a target Solent polished off with comparative ease, with Richard Locke (20) and Michael Porter (19) completing the formalities.
Solent have now beaten the MCCU sides from Cambridge, Cardiff and Durham this season, alongside Exeter University.
Only Bradford/Leeds have beaten Team Solent, who visit BUCS favourites Loughborough this week.
