BROADLANDS Lakes are celebrating a record-breaking event.

The venue has been open for 11 years and for the first time four heavyweights were landed over the same weekend.

Josh Pack fished a 36-hour session on Slingers and, using Legacy bait, caught two of the heavyweights in his 15-carp haul.

Five were 20s with the biggest being Ali at 35lb. Next best was Buster Douglas at 29lb.

Wayne Harris fished in peg 30 and landed Hatton at 24lb as part of a four-fish haul.

The fourth fish to be caught was Holyfield weighing in at 29.8lb, reeled in by Aaron Seymour from peg 112. He also caught a 16lb mirror.

This was only Seymour's third session of the season, yet he has landed two of the heavyweights.

James Morrell fished peg 55 and landed three carp to 16.10lb.

Marcus Wipe fished in peg 103 and caught two carp to 18.4lb using complex-t, while Paul Rydzinski fished peg 100 and caught two mirrors to 19lb.

Arron Morgan used mainline cell to catch four carp to 26lb.

Ian Pearce fished peg 23 and had carp to 21.9lb, while Peter Drozd set up in 22 and also caught four carp to 22lb using urban baits ,

Stuart Laxton had a perfect catch of a common at 20lb followed by a mirror of 25lb.

The lower lake is on the munch again, with Chris Mollitt landing 11 fish to 13.5lb in a five-hour session using the krill.
