Guernsey all-rounder Matt Stokes led the way as St Cross Symondians outplayed Alton to beat the visiting Brewers by 140 runs at Winchester's Green Jackets Ground.
The Southampton Solent University second year student top scored with 69 and later took three wickets as erratic St Cross won by a comfortable margin.
Stokes enjoyed profitable partnerships with Tom Foyle (37) and Logan van Beek (21) before departing at 185-3, by which time St Cross were well on their way to a big score.
Harry Came (49) and Charlie Ayers (28) added quick runs while spinner Lee Partner took 4-78 on Alton debut.
Stokes was involved in all four of the first Alton wickets to fall for 34, dismissing three batsmen off his own medium-pace bowling and running out another.
Out of the contest, Alton relied upon South African Sean Jamison to clout a seven-four 50 before van Beek returned to finish with 3-24 and bowl the visitors out for 130.
