Two of the South’s top players faced each other in the final of the Southampton Darts Series’ Autumn Grand Prix again – but the outcome was the same.

In fact Romsey’s Rich North had a bigger winning margin against Colin Littlecott, from Poole, in week 4 of the contest. The pair had played each other on the same oche just seven days before and North won 4-2.

The PDC player won the latest game 4-1, dropping just three legs on his way to the last two and nailing six maximums to stay on top of the table.

Waterlooville supplied the Plate finalists where Charlie Jackson got the better of Australian Corrine Hammond.

Four players threw 13-dart legs – North, Littlecott, Linton Hickman and Dave Bonnett.

There was no question over who was in the best finishing form - Wales international Mike Gillet checked out on 167, 160 and 120.

Bitterne Park Mixed League: Kev Emmett threw a 133 finish for Richmond Inn during his side’s defeat to Brass Monkey in the first round of the Knock-out Cup.

Eleven dart legs were thrown by Sandy Caville and Paul Wolfe (Woolston SC).

Southampton Clubs’ League: St enys won the league’s Bob Painting Memorial Three-a-Side competition when Paul Squires, Lorrie King & Bradley Kirk defeated AFC Totton’s Peter Toy, David Fitzpatrick & John Hance in the final.

Players losing out at the semi-final stage were Steve Gillingham, Gary Coen & Chris Buckland of Shirley & Millbrook and St Denys’ Shane Harby, Ellen Harby & Lee Cavill.

Steve Gillingham checked out on 120 during the evening and David David Fitzpatrick hit a 112 out-shot.

The Plate competition title went to Bitterne Park A’s trio Sean Robinson, George James & Malcolm Terry who defeated Garry Hamlet, Gary Noke & Elizabeth Smith of Bitterne Park C.

Losing semi finalists were Colin John Birmingham, Richard John Mainwaring & Nicky Cole (Bitterne Park C) and Simon Hull, James Gradidge & Ellie Kirby (AFC Totton).

Bishop’s Waltham & District League: Richard Barton hit a 15-dart and 17-dart leg to go with his couple of maximums for Division 3 team Spike Islander. His side share the same stats as Fox & Hounds at the top of the table.

In Division 1 Craig Harrington hit a 17-dart leg for Park Gate C and then shared another in the pairs with Will Castle.

Jason Richards also threw a 17-darter for Bishop’s Waltham A while Jo Senior checked out on 104 for Park Gate C and teammate Rogers Jeans finished on a ton.

Hythe & District Men’s League: Mid-table Division 1 side Hythe Club D supplied the top finish of the week as Keith White checked out on 140 in his side’s win over Old Mill C.

Steve Phillips finished on 118 for Fountain Court, Steve Manhood on 113 for Falcon, Michael Kane threw a 101 game shot for Old Mill B and there were ton finishes for Turfcutters’ Andy Paxton and for Stephen Stimpson.

Hythe & District Ladies’ League: Fawley RBL C have the upper hand in Division 1 while Malt & Hops lead Division 2 after four fixtures. Top shot out this week was a 97 by Toni Tabrett of Glen B.

Freemantle, Shirley & District League: Nillson Pritchard nailed a 156 finish for Division 1 leaders Brass Monkey as they defeated basement side Mountbatten 8-1.

Malcolm Davie threw a 118 out-shot for Saints C and Swan player Adam Lea checked out on 108.

PDC player Andy Hamilton beat all before him in the Oakhaven Hospice Charity Darts competition at the British Legion Club, Blackfield.

‘The Hammer’, as he is nicknamed on the professional circuit, beat Mark Grimes in the final to collect the £400 first prize.

Toni Freeman won the ladies’ competition, beating Anne-Marie Winter in the final.

Organisers hope to day will have raised around £2,0000 for Oakhaven, which includes a £750 donation from Waterside Charity and Hythe & District leagues – special thanks to sponsor Stuart Barker of New Forest Training.
