Richard Bland is set to miss the cut in the BMW PGA Championship, after another disappointing day at Wentworth.

The Southampton-based pro followed up yesterday's 75 with a round of 78 today, leaving him nine-over-par.

Bland is certain to miss out on the weekend's action at the European Tour's flagship event now, but is set to be back in action on Monday, as he competes in US Open qualifying at Walton Heath.

Needing to pick up shots quickly today, the 41-year-old did not get the start he required.

His sole birdie on the front-nine, at the par-five fourth, was overshadowed by bogeys at three, six and eight.

After going bogey-birdie at ten and 11, he threw in a double at 12 and lost another at 13.

Bland clawed a shot back at 16, but then bogeyed the final two holes.
