Richard Bland
Richard Bland started his European Tour season with a strong opening round, to leave him well placed in the Abu Dhabi Championship.
The Stoneham player shot three-under-par on day one, putting him into a tie for 25th place, ahead of Friday's action.
Bland, coming off the best season of his career, is hoping to get 2015 off to a flyer at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
While he has made a fast start there, fellow Hampshire stars Justin Rose and Sam Hutsby endured a more difficult opening day.
Both shot one-over-par, leaving them with a share of 87th place overnight.
