RICHARD Bland moved to nine-under-par after his second round in the Madeira Islands Open, putting him into contention for a European Tour victory.
The Southampton-based professional shot a round of five-under today, adding to the four-under score he posted on Thursday.
Bland was tied for fourth when he went into the clubhouse, three shots off the lead.
The highlight of the Stoneham player's round was an eagle three at the par five 11th.
