A STRONG weekend showing secured Justin Rose a top-ten finish in the French Open – and the bonus of strengthening his position at the head of the Race to Dubai standings.

The Hampshire player, who was just inside the cut mark after opening rounds of 71 and 73, found form over the final 36 holes to fire rounds of 68 and 69 to power through the field.

The 31-year-old earned 66,000 Euros to extend his lead over Rory McIlroy in the standings to more than £350,000.
