BRINSCALL swimmer Ryan Bennett has just one more chance to seal his place in London 2012 after narrowly missing out on qualification this evening.
Bennett won the silver medal at the national championships in Sheffield in the 100m backstroke, but his personal best time was not enough for qualification with just one spot up for grabs.
Ellesmere’s Chris Walker-Hebborn sealed his second place in the games by pipping Bennett to victory.
Bennett still has one more chance to seal his place in the 100m freestyle that starts tomorrow morning.
Bennett and Blackburn’s Josh Walsh will both be competing in the morning’s heats and hoping to earn a place for the evening’s final.
There remains two spaces up for grabs at London 2012 in today’s 100m. The duo missed out on qualification in the first national championships.
