Cambridge manager Joe Dunne will take a late decision over the fitness of Piero Mingoia ahead of their SkyBet League Two clash against Swindon on Saturday.
Midfielder Mingoia has been out of action for Cambridge since December with a groin injury.
Barry Corr (groin) remains sidelined but is closing in on a return and could feature for the Us in their trip to Carlisle next weekend.
Cambridge host Swindon without a victory from their last three matches.
New manager Phil Brown will be looking to get his Swindon tenure off to a winning start when his side travel to the Abbey Stadium.
Brown, the former Hull and Southend boss, was appointed as David Flitcroft’s replacement earlier this week.
Midfielder Ollie Banks will serve the second match of his two-game suspension but Brown could hand a debut to defender Ryan McGivern after he was snapped up as a free agent.
On-loan left-back Chris Hussey is closing in on a return after a groin injury, but captain Olly Lancashire and Matt Preston (both knocks) are unavailable.
