Emergency services were on stand-by at Stansted Airport on Thursday afternoon after a bird strike involving a Helios plane.
The jet, which had taken off from Luton Airport, circled for a time to burn off fuel before landing safely.
The incident was sparked by a bird that hit the plane's tail.
