Youngsters from all over the borough ran for Croydon in the London Mini Marathon on Sunday.
The Mayor of Croydon, councillor Stuart Collins bid the team good luck on Wellesley Road, and the fifty youngsters aged between 11 and 17 were taken by coach up to Thames Street in London, where the three mile mini marathon started just hours after the senior field had run past.
The youngsters then ran the final three miles of the course finishing on the Mall, where they were all given medals for taking part.
