FED-UP householders say they are looking forward to speaking out at an exhibition which will target parking problems around Adams Park after traffic lights at the site failed to ease the gridlock.

The group will be able to look at various schemes to help ease match day parking problems around the Sands stadium on Monday from 10am until 8pm.

Buckinghamshire County Council had installed temporary traffic lights into key areas around the ground on Saturday to help the congestion but said it had been inconclusive.

Mike Jones, the council's senior area technician for traffic management, said: "The traffic signals went well but were only turned on for ten-second periods when the traffic was really bad.

"The signals might be more useful when the gate at the ground is higher."

Kate Phillips, secretary of Sands Residents Association, said residents were fed up with the chaos and hoped the exhibition will solve the problem.

She said residents had not noticed any difference at all with the traffic lights.

Mr Jones said they would be looking at a "raft of measures" which could include a scheme to introduce permits.

He said: "Part of the problem is when they get in there, it takes them ages to get out."
