ST ALBANS MP Kerry Pollard was the guest speaker at a convention of Hertfordshire's ethnic minority businessmen last week.
More than 50 local business leaders from immigrant backgrounds attended Business Link Hertfordshire's Minority Business Network event, called Breaking Barriers Building Business Project.
The conference was organised to aid delegates in acquiring contacts, sharpening marketing skills and improving growth strategies.
Mr Pollard, who is chairman of Westminster's Bangladeshi Friendship Group, said: "It was a real honour to speak at this event.
"I believe this project provides invaluable support to local ethnic minority business people."
Mr Amrit Mann, ethnic minority advisor at Business Link, said: "We have received excellent feedback and were very impressed with the energy and enthusiasm shown at the event."
