A ten-year-old boy from Clore Shalom school in Shenley was the district winner in a county council art competition to promote recycling.
Ethan Wise was awarded book vouchers for himself and his school, for his poster depicting bottle banks, at County Hall in Hertford on Thursday last week.
"He was really excited about it," said his headteacher, Irene Kay. "We are very proud of him."
