Eastleigh's resources stretched
Eastleigh’s plan to target five victories on the bounce looks like being put to the test this weekend.
The club identified a handful of London 3 South-West games where coaches thought maximum points were available.
Victories over New Milton and Sandown & Shanklin proved they were on the right track.
But selectors are being forced to travel to Old Mid-Whitgiftian with a makeshift squad after another string of injuries and unavailablility.
New Milton registered a comprehensive win over the Old Mids a week ago but Eastleigh captain Russell Smith knows they will be a different side on home soil tomorrow.
He said: “At the moment I am not able to name a squad.
“If we can come away with something Saturday I will be happy. I’m just hoping some people can change their plans and make themselves available.”
Milton head for second-from-bottom Camberley while the Es will expect to make it five wins from as many games at winless Old Wellingtonians.
