Winchester moved up a couple of places in London 2 South-West when they walloped lowly Teddington 56-6 at North Walls.

The home side’s largest crowd of the season were on the sidelines to witness the victory which put Teddington further adrift at the foot of the table.

The London club won promotion every season between 2009 and 2012 but now look odds-on for relegation.

Winchester made several slip-ups in the first half but the outcome was never in doubt.

Second row Rob Rees scored after two minutes and captain and centres Todd Duncan and Jake Hiscock also crossed the line as Winch moved to 17-6 at half time.

Hiscock completed a hat-trick after the break, Rees got a second and replacements Matt Gibson, Tom Forster and Lukas Waddington all touched down before Matt Burt, pictured above, finished off the try scoring. Connor Breen converted three.
