London 3 South-West’s exciting league has produced what could turn out to be a crunch match just two games into the season.

Leaders New Milton travel to second-placed Eastleigh with both sides having chalked up bonus point wins.

Eastleigh feel they are beginning to find the form that netted them a third-place finish in 2013/14 but expect a tough test from Milton.

Captain Paul Fudio said: “We are pleased with our performances. However, we are still developing.

“The game against Sandown was certainly a physical affair and we expect much of the same from a strong New Milton side”

The other side in the division to have started with a couple of bonus point victories, Surrey club Old Tiffinians, host Andover who produced a convincing victory over Trojans last weekend.

Trojans are looking to produce a confidence-boosting home win against visitors Purley JF.

The Stoneham Lane club’s first XV has a very different look to it from last season.

Three foreign university students have returned home, a couple of other post graduates have left the area, and a few first team regulars have retired.

After suffering two relegations on the bounce, Trojans are now trying to establish a long-term plan to get the club back to where members feel it should be.

Coach Dean Lewis said: “We are a little bit weak at the moment but we are trying to develop and to go out and enjoy ourselves and have some fun.

“When you look at the side we put out last Saturday, there were only about seven who were in the team last season.

“Basically we are a brand new team starting again and it will take time to bed in and to get to know one another.

“We are looking to establish a pathway from juniors and colts through to second and the first team to make a foundation that is right for the club.

“It’s an on-going, long-term plan that needs to be encouraged and developed as we go.”

Lewis added: “What the boys need, even more than a win, is to put in a good performance together.

“Then the mood in the camp will be a lot better.”
