Tottonians are half way through their league campaign and on track to achieve their title-winning target – but there are certainly no signs of half measures against their opposition.

Totts sit on top of London 2 South-West after 11 of their 22 league games.

And it was another quality performance that eventually destroyed opponents KCS Old Boys at Water Lane as the home side ran out 47-15 winners.

Speedy full-back Bart van Herwijnen put Tottonians in front after ten minutes and captain Robbie Searle converted as Totts went on the search for a bonus point victory against fourth-placed KCS.

Scott Rogers got over the line ten minutes later as Tottonians moved 12-3 ahead – a lead they held at the interval thanks to a couple of missed penalty chances from KCS.

But tries came at regular intervals for Totts after the break.

Determined second row Ali Ramus bundled over to improve Totts’ advantage before a powerful 15-metre driving maul was touched down by Number 8 Dan Stocks.

KCS replied with a try but van Herwijnen then left would-be tacklers in his wake as he zipped through an onlooking defence to cross the line.

Next up was Rogers to record his second and Ieuan Williams – who earlier spent ten minutes on the sidelines after being yellow carded – then got in on the act when he placed down under the posts.

Robbie Searle kicked six conversions during the afternoon.

Battling KCS had the last say with a try but delighted Totts coach Gavin Williams said: “We were pleased with the platform we built up in the first half but KCS are not in fourth place for nothing and you have to earn the right for victory.

“The win was all set up by a dominating forwards’ performance. Good backs moves can only come if you are going forward and our forwards created that platform.”
