Fordingbridge kept among the Hampshire 1 front runners with a 37-19 home victory over a much-improved Romsey side.
The Hampshire 1 basement club put on a performance that belied their position in the league.
Mat Norton converted a long range penalty to get Bridge under way.
Romsey hit back with a converted try before Rob Hay scored the first of his two tries to put Fordingbridge back into the lead at 8-7.
In a see-saw half, the advantage changed again when Romsey scored their second of the day but, with Fordingbridge dominating the set piece, Number 8 Hay struck again, with Norton converting.
He kicked a penalty after the break but another Romsey try put them back in charge by a single point.
Three more successful Norton penalties followed before Bridge gave themselves breathing space with touchdowns from James Greenwood and Josh Merry.
