SNOWS Group Hampshire 2 leaders Romsey demolished Alton 75-7 as they kept their 100 per cent winning record.

Romsey’s Toby Bull scored two tries in the opening ten minutes.

Luke Till and Josh Davies crossed the line, Jim Windebank added an interception try from within his own half and Mac Campbell fought his way through Alton’s defence for another as Romsey turned around 42-7 up.

Josh Davies brought up his brace in the second half and scrum half Dan Penn-Newman helped himself to a couple before Jack Groves and Luke Till finished off the scoring.

Jake Fulford nailed ten of his 11 conversion attempts.

Rob Lee was named Romsey’s man of the match for his outstanding game, both in the tight and loose.

Fawley chose to play against high winds during the first half of their game against Alresford – and the decision paid off.

They turned around an 8-0 deficit after 40 minutes to win the mid-table clash 24-8.

Captain Dave Johnson set the scene for the comeback when he went over and winger James Jordan took advantage of an interception by Mike Kitcher to touch down.

Fawley’s Chris Soards added to the tally with a great steamroller run, fending off four opponents.

Rob Thomas added the extras in difficult conditions and split the posts again after Soards got the ball over the line to seal the win.
