Alex Thomson and his HUGO BOSS teammate Pepe Ribes continue to increase their lead in the Barcelona World Race.
Their closest rivals are now Gaes Centros Auditivos, whose young crew – thirty-something Spaniards Anna Corbella and Gerard Marín – have replaced Neutrogena in second place as the leaders head down the eastern coast of south America.
But Gosport-based Thomson and Ribes are now more than 63 nautical miles ahead of second place, having led since the New Year’s Eve start.
