Hampshire skipper Ian Walker is continuing to chase down Volvo Ocean Race stage six leaders Dongfeng with little more than 150 nautical miles remaining.
The latest stage from Itajai in Brazil to Newport on the east coast of the United States of America is reaching its climax.
Warsash sailor Walker, onboard the Abu Dhabi boat with Southampton navigator Simon Fisher, is leading the charge to topple the Chinese boat Dongfeng.
They’re just six nautical miles behind the leaders.
Meanwhile Hamble’s Rob Greenhalgh on the MAPFRE boat is in fourth while his sister Libby, Gosport’s Dee Caffari and Hamble’s Sam Davies are in last on the Team SCA boat.
