BOATS of all sizes, shapes and colours were on show at a jumble sale in Hampshire.

Royal Victoria Country Park (RVCP) in Southampton hosted the Solent Boat Jumble, which attracted more than 1,500 guests over four hours on Sunday, May 10.

The event has been held for more than 20 years and organiser Chris Chaddock, of Chaddock and Fox Promotions, hailed it as a success.

He said: "It was a very good day and we had more than 100 exhibits.

"A lot of people who weren't from Southampton came and were fascinated by the boats that were going past the night before - it's a beautiful place and the event was very pleasant.

"We're all going home with smiles on our faces."

A boat jumble will be held at Hound Hill Farm, Titchfield, at 10am on Sunday, July 5, with the event returning to RVCP at 10am on Sunday, October 4.
