Fantastic recovery by Dee Caffari onboard Aviva
Dee Caffari has made a fantastic recovery to keep in touch with the fleet and is now only 35 miles behind the race leader Safran. Caffari's first day racing her Open 60 Aviva alone has been a real rollercoaster ride.
After the excitement of the build up to the start, alongside 14 other Open 60 racing yachts, Caffari was forced to make an express pit stop to repair the gennaker furler and restart three hours behind the fleet.
The fleet is currently sailing upwind along the Brazilian coastline.
