THOUSANDS of fans are set to march on to London as Saints take on Fulham in the FA Cup.

Despite a dire run of form, police expect more than 4,500 fans to make the trip to the capital for Saturday's 3pm kickoff.

Under-fire boss Mauricio Pellegrino has said he will try to use his best 11 to win the game and see Saints into the next round of the cup.

SaintsFC Cop has taken to Twitter to give some advice to dedicated fans travelling to London tomorrow.

The first problem for many supporters will be travel, with a replacement bus service running between Southampton Central Station and Eastleigh.

Nearer the ground, SaintsFC Cop has recommended a number of pubs for fans to head to and get a friendly reception.

He wrote: "The Temperance, The Eight Bells and the King Head welcome away fans, these are very close to the tube station and closest to the ground, however they are normally the first to fill up.

"On the Putney side of the river, the Dukes Head, the Boat House, the Coat and Badge also take away fans, the Wetherspoons is now Revolution bar.

"Alcohol is served at the stadium."

There are also water utilities works taking place which mean that the southbound lane of Fulham Palace Road at the junction with Telgarth Road will be closed.

The last time Saints took on Fulham at Craven Cottage goals from Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez eased Southampton to a 0-3 win on February 1, 2014.
