SAINTS' FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley will take place on Sunday, April 22 at 3pm, it has been announced by The FA.

The club has received an allocation of 33,411 tickets in the West end of Wembley for the game, which will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

The date of the match clashes with both the Southampton and London Marathon.

And Saints have warned fans to take the London event 'into consideration' when making plans to travel to the capital.

They've also reassured supporters heading to Wembley using the club's official coaches that 'alternative pick-up arrangments' will be made, with  road closures taking place in Southampton that day.

"Please note that the date clashes with the Southampton Marathon, which will involve a number of road closures in the city," the club said on its website.

"The club is aware this will affect the St Mary’s area and would like to assure supporters that alternative pick-up arrangements for Official Coach Travel are being made.

"Full details of these will be communicated to fans as soon as possible.

"The London Marathon also takes place on the same day, with supporters advised to take the event into consideration when arranging travel plans in the city."

Mark Hughes' side progressed to the last four after defeating Wigan Athletic 2-0 in the quarter-final on Sunday with goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Cedric Soares.

Chelsea, meanwhile, made the semi-final after beating Leicester 2-1 in extra-time at the King Power Stadium.

Alvaro Morata gave the Blues the lead before Jamie Vardy equalised to send the match to extra-time, in which Pedro struck the winner for Antonio Conte's side.

The other semi-final, between Manchester United and Tottenham, is scheduled for the Saturday, April 21 at 5.15pm and will be live on BBC One.
