Lee back in contention for Saints

Saints could welcome back Tadanari Lee for this weekend's game against Tottenham after his elbow injury.

However, Nigel Adkins will still be without record signing Gaston Ramirez as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury.

Defender Frazer Richardson (groin) and midfielder Jack Cork (knee) are both out but young defender Luke Shaw has overcome his illness and may make his Barclays Premier League debut.

Provisional squad: K Davis, Gazzaniga, Boruc, Butterfield, Stephens, Clyne, Fox, Shaw, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Fonte, Seaborne, Ward-Prowse, Do Prado, Chaplow, De Ridder, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Lee, Puncheon, S Davis, Lambert, Rodriguez, Mayuka.

Praying Lambert starts but if NA decides it is not to be then give mayuka and lee a go every time I have seen mayuka he looks class and lee always creates a great buzz in the ground which the team playoff. Reckon it maybe to soon (my own opinion) for lee. Mayuka if no Lambert please nige. J Rod has had his chance Guly hasn't shown much. So lambert 1st choice Mayuka 2nd. Think that is clear enough. Broken record haha

Welcome back Chun.

Loved the pre-match press conference and the building process - ever positive and trying to better things.. Nigel Adkins is a gem for the future.

Good on the 78% positive voters behind Nigel.. good luck against Spurs and come what may still pos on Monday Morning.

To the neg 20% - support the team.. Let the manager manage the alternatives out there would bring utter disaster to this club.

I was one of the 22% up until Wednesday I see gordan watson said about victim of his own success. Hopefully he's given the time he needs and I'm sure he will NC seems to be right behind him so hopefully January they address the problems transfer wise and be on the up. It's not just the teams 1st crack at the prem it's also adkins and cortese's. Everyone needs to be positive and realise we were nearly out of business a short while ago. Now we have a sound setup in the prem everything is right just need results and they will come giving time. COYRAWM!!!!

Good on you Block.. give jay Rod a bit longer too.. he's getting better every game and is part of the future.. he's a bit like a young Martin Chivers.. Ricky off the bench or starting is still a heck of a force but he is 30 and we must have a quick up front.. Nigel is looking after his frontmen.. may see Lee on the bench too. great to have so many choices

Yeah tottally agree with all points I think if jay keeps playing it may destroy him IMO give him a go every 3 games as part of 2 man attack until he hits form but he has a great future ahead of him

I think Jay is up for it.. getting better and gaining confidence. If he starts or gets half hour that's fine but we have to look ahead. But heck great choices now and all need game time: Emmanuel, Chun, Jay and Rickie : heck get them all on.
Whatever happens though A fresh Rickie at the death of close gave is a game winner for me and I reckon he's be up for that in the England Squad too.

Finally some positive posts about Jay Rodriguez. I think he's shown he can play at this level. He runs around sensibly and gets into good positions. I'm sure the goals will come.
