Robbie Fowler said it was the worse premier league team he's ever seen and our fans should get a re-fund. I know we made 11 changes but thats one hell of a statement.

One fact for sure; Leeds have beaten more Premier League teams this season than we have. I knew it's wouldn't be easy but we're starting to get laughed at now. SORT IT OUT!

I would have least kept our so called starting 11 defence. There's nobody that needs practice more than them.

I don't think Adkins should go just yet he deserves to be allowed to be in charge for the games against swansea at home, qpr away, newcastle and norwich at home because they are the games we should be winning (all next month).
If we don't get many points from those then i think it is fair to call for his head.
I think Shaw should start now he's fit, he can't really be much worse than Fox can he?
Also can somebody explain to me if Cortese is making Adkins play Guly or if Adkins just has a massive blindspot there because from your attackers you don't want great pass completion rate particularly you want assists and goals!
If we have a bad November i'd like to see Strachen or a big name manager not someone like Mcleish or Coyle because that would be pointless

I understand Nigel Adkins has been seen driving his car very fast past all the speed cameras in Southampton, ever since someone told him that was the only way he'd get three points!

A manager who can coach defending might help. A manager who can get Saints to play football and produce an effort on target at the end of it would help. A manager who plays his strongest team (bar injuries) would help. Playing this second string of inept players is a waste of time and effort not to mention fans hard earned cash watching them. as fans we deserve better than zero efforts at goal dont we ?

Pride it must really hurt your pride that no matter what happens this season we will still be playing above you next season. Once the minus 10 kicks in bottom of League 1 oh dear then it becomes a battle to stay afloat we are already in a battle and we are struggling and the end result may not be what fans of Southampton may hope or want but at the end of the day we will still be a league or maybe even 2 above you. Good luck for the rest of the season you will need it

How about facing reality and stop supporting a manager who is fast taking us back to the Championship. No manager is greater than the Club. We all admire Nigels success in taking us through double promotions but he does not appear to be able to handle the Premiership. It is clear now that he is thinking that way himself and what could be worse that that for the players morale. We all expected to struggle in the Premiership but this is now catastrophic and embarrasing. Makes that 78% vote look a joke.
This all arises from the woeful lack of activity pre season and may not therefore be entirely Nigels fault as none of us really know what goes on in the "kremlin". Some over optimistic fans say "give him until January" but by that time unless there are major developments our fate will be sealed and why should any player want to come here then?
The only alternative is to accept relegation now and settle for life again in the Championship - even with Nigel.

Summary of Saints no Left Back no WIngers oh God help us againt WBA another 5-0 Defeat!

I completely suport NA. I think he's going to sort us out, keep us up, and kick on for the five year plan. I understand people getting nervous - I've just bet my brother £100 we will stay up, and he's a long-time fan, so I know people are nervous, but anyone who is nervous - please keep your negativity away from the pitch, and stick with the best manager we've had for years, and don't, please, suggest Redknapp or Hoddle for the job - one would split the fans wide open, the other has shown no interest in English football for a decade, so why would you think he's just waiting for us to call? And Strachan? He was very lucky here, and won't be again. He's failed everywhere else. Coyle? He couldn't keep Bolton up and they were an established team.

Time to get heads up and continue the FIGHT in the Premiership.

We should have enough quality in our squad to get to the Quarter Finals in the Capital One Cup - But I remember from last year where Nigel felt at this stage of the competition that we'd had a run in the Cup and did not put out the strongest side - so we had all the disappointment losing to palarse and also in the FA Cup going out to millwall.

leeds away is do-able - but asking far too much for our fringe players and youngsters. I'm being honest that despite the Manager saying there will be consequences - they are only words - and most of those players flew home from leeds just as cheerful as when they went up and collected a sizeable monthly salary for their efforts.

SAINTS FANS ARE MAGNIFICENT.

There is criticism that we only sing when we are winning - but that is not true. The feedback is that we were noisy on the radio last night - the fact is we do need good football to feed off - and second half against the mouthy spuds - we showed what we can do and the crowd responded accordingly.

Everyone should be UP for the next few games - QPR and FULHAM AWAY should be epic and there points to be had with swansea and norwich at home.

Whatever goes on at the Club - we know that we have shown the commitment and delivered on the Terraces.

My son my grandson and I all took a full afternoon off work Tuesday to go to the Leeds v Saints game and then got back home at 2.30am in the morning the next day to then even go to work at 5am the next day and for what !

What we witnessed at Elland Road was a gutless spineless no effort performance from a team that were leaderless, lacked enthusiasm or idea and really struggled against a Leeds side that played a game they clearly knew they would win at a canter, my son and grandson being Leeds supporters asked me to go along with them to the game but with them being Leeds supporters tickets were in the home supporters section, to say it was an embarrassment was an understatement from start to finish having your team laughed at throughout the 90 minutes as they were as the joke of the division was so upsetting to say the least.The evening started with the shocking news that there were eleven changes yes eleven and we were going there to win what a joke, so nearly £250 was spent or should I say wasted to watch this shambles of a team and then have to drive home thoroughly fed up and let down by a team that could not even get near theChampionship side in the way of playing football and have all but surpassed us in terms of effort and will to win !!

NA just does not seem to learn and no matter how much the 70% of fan base sympathise with him the fact of the matter is he has cost us precious points with wrong substitutions wrong formations, and wrong team selection and still he repeats the same mistakes but the Leeds debacle has just got to be the last straw, if we now go up to WBA and get nothing but just an addition to the goals against column something has just got to give because we are fast becoming the laughing stock of the Premiership and the 70% may well be happy to continue to support his decisions and leadership but they need to wake up fast because come Christmas we will be goners of that I'm sure on present performances.

It's not nice to single out individuals but Guly yet again fell well short of the mark and why we continue to play him is quite frankly baffling because he brings nothing to the team and for the majority of most games it passes him by, the seniors in that side Tuesday should have led the youngsters by example but unfortunately it was the youngsters that led by example but unfortunately the seniors could not follow and as such they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

I suspect WBA could be NAs last game and its all because he has an inability to learn from his mistakes and continues down the same old route to nowhere and let's remember in all the divisions and promotions he has had the tools to work with in the way of money to spend but what has he done wasted it in the wrong positions and players.

I like NA for what he has done but enough is enough his team and he are seriously letting us down.

We expect/demand loyalty from players & managers. Calling for Adkins to be sacked now makes us (the fans) no better than Harry Redknapp/Glenn Hoddle.

It's going to be a hard season. Our best chance of staying up is with the fans behind the team (i.e. the manager)

The club should refund the fans I agree with you it was a shambles.
I listened to it on radio Solent and dave merrington said it was one of the worst saints performances in recent time. Felt sorry for all the fans who travelled up and spent hard earned money with no reward.
I still think sacking Nigel is not the way forward he is a good manager and hopefully very soon he succeeds

The club should refund the fans I agree with you it was a shambles. I listened to it on radio Solent and dave merrington said it was one of the worst saints performances in recent time. Felt sorry for all the fans who travelled up and spent hard earned money with no reward. I still think sacking Nigel is not the way forward he is a good manager and hopefully very soon he succeeds

I think NA needs to personally apologize for the disgraceful lack of consideration and very poor performance by himself and the team and I would go as far to suggest that he and the team stick their hands in their pockets and re emburse all the fans that took the time off and travelled.

Is it not basic etiquette that Premier League sides in the league cup offer a second string 11? Our second string wasn't good enough, but then we're new and we're learning. Nigel would have known that we were unlikely to beat Leeds with a team that was worse than the last time we played them, which means either he has outrageous amounts of front or else he has the backing of Nicola to manage the team as he sees fit. I think it's the latter.
