Not just Gazza, no doubt he was obeying orders, Yosh was unlucky with the bounce, but was at fault for losing control, even then, it was in off the post, if it had been us it would have bounced out. Sorry, can you substantiate this? Frankly I can't see how he's better than Davis who is a better shot stopper and kicker and no worse at controlling the box. In my view he's been unlucky to be the scapegoat of a very poor defence.

It does matter, people are blaming NA for us losing points, none of the causation yesterday was down to him, it was poor officiating and one calamitous error by two players who should have known better.

It's true. Laudrup admitted Swansea were lucky to come away with a point they didn't deserve. We must have saved up an absolute shed-load of good luck due our way for the business end of the season.

AS for Shaw he had an excellent game. The praise NA lavishes on him is not dissimilar to that he lavished on James Ward-Prowse after the Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal games. Where is Ward-Prowse now? On the bench. Despite por performances by Spider and Davis against WBA and Tottenham Ward-Prowse wasn't brought on. NA thought it better to bring Guly on!!! Noticebale that Guly didn't even make the bench yesterday. Has the 'penny' finally dropped with NA re Guly?

Is this 'blooding' of youth genuine or simplt NC wanting NA to show off the bes talents in the Academy. The reason I doubt this i that in football terms there appears to be no reason why JWP should not have continued to play save of course the risk of burnout but that would not imo justify his exclusion for so long. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but no doubt Shaw like Ward-Prowse will make a few appearances then be relegated to the bench!

There's been comments on here about Nigel and 'happy clappers' of late. Judging from the widespread applause given to Nigel, when he rose to acknowledge the Northam's tribute chant, we have about 28,000 happy clappers.

All in all, things are looking up and it was a bad day for the doom-mongers.

AS for Shaw he had an excellent game. The praise NA lavishes on him is not dissimilar to that he lavished on James Ward-Prowse after the Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal games. Where is Ward-Prowse now? On the bench. Despite por performances by Spider and Davis against WBA and Tottenham Ward-Prowse wasn't brought on. NA thought it better to bring Guly on!!! Noticebale that Guly didn't even make the bench yesterday. Has the 'penny' finally dropped with NA re Guly?

Is this 'blooding' of youth genuine or simplt NC wanting NA to show off the bes talents in the Academy. The reason I doubt this i that in football terms there appears to be no reason why JWP should not have continued to play save of course the risk of burnout but that would not imo justify his exclusion for so long. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but no doubt Shaw like Ward-Prowse will make a few appearances then be relegated to the bench!

Good points, however there have been a lot of criticism about the substitutions that NA has made, there was the danger that taking Cork off would have unbalanced the set up which you must admit was working, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. Corky was blowing towards the end, but getting all 90 minutes under his belt won't have done any harm.

What's more the crowd stayed with the team throughout. There's been comments on here about Nigel and 'happy clappers' of late. Judging from the widespread applause given to Nigel, when he rose to acknowledge the Northam's tribute chant, we have about 28,000 happy clappers. All in all, things are looking up and it was a bad day for the doom-mongers.

Saints have enjoyed more top flight football than Portsmouth Saints have been higher in the league for longer than vice versa Saints attendances have consistently been higher than Pompeys (even when in the lower leagues and Pompey were in the top flight) Saints have never been in league 2 or Div 4 In YOUR lifetime Saints have won more trophies Saints have never gone into administration whilst being in the Premier League Head to head? Saints have won nearly twice as many games when we've met and in fact Pompey have drawn more than they have won The facts (sadly something skates are sketchy on!) say Southampton is the best performing and biggest club in Hampshire and on the South Coast So, Uncle Albert, stop prattling on about 'during the war' and wake up to yourself. On the bench. Despite por performances by Spider and Davis against WBA and Tottenham Ward-Prowse wasn't brought on. NA thought it better to bring Guly on!!! Noticebale that Guly didn't even make the bench yesterday. Has the 'penny' finally dropped with NA re Guly?

Is this 'blooding' of youth genuine or simplt NC wanting NA to show off the bes talents in the Academy. The reason I doubt this i that in football terms there appears to be no reason why JWP should not have continued to play save of course the risk of burnout but that would not imo justify his exclusion for so long. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but no doubt Shaw like Ward-Prowse will make a few appearances then be relegated to the bench!
