Paulo Gazzaniga put his Norwich nightmare behind him at Anfield.
The 20-year-old keeper was thrust into the spotlight once more after his midweek howler, his third mistake in four games, cost Saints two points against the Canaries.
However, Nigel Adkins kept faith with his young stopper for the match at Liverpool and was rewarded with some good saves.
Adkins, though, insists the shot stopping has never been an issue.
“He made some good saves,” said Adkins.
“We know he can make saves, it’s the other aspects of a young goalkeeper’s development which is the decision making process when you’re very young and he’s only 20.
Decision making “We have a very young side out there but we allow him to go out there and make saves but the decision making process you are only going to get better on by being in the situation to make those decisions.”
