THOUGHTLESS motorists are causing havoc by parking within inches of junctions in a village high street.
Parked cars in Mistley High Street block the view of oncoming traffic and make pulling out of The Green and School Lane dangerous, according to Mistley councillor Richard Horlock.
He said: “People are parking right up against the junction so you edge forward but you just can’t see.
“I’ve nearly had an accident there because people are going so fast “It says in the Highway Code that it’s not sensible to park in front of junctions.
“It could be an accident waiting to happen.”
Mr Horlock said one solution could be yellow lines.
He said: “But people do not like them because there are enough of them around the village as it is.”
