AN appeal which went out last month about a lost cat in the Whitegate area of Forton has had a happy outcome.
A villager who was suddenly befriended by the stray black cat put up posters about it but no-one came forward.
But within a week of an appeal being made in the News the cat was back home with its owners.
The villager said: “I was quite sad to see him go in the end!”
