THE water company that supplies Herefordshire is to increase its bills by less than average.
With some water companies increasing bills by as much as 5.5 per cent, Welsh Water will increase bills by 1.7 per cent.
This means the average bill will increase from £427 to £434.
Chris Jones, finance director, said: “We are very proud to say that we have again been able to achieve the lowest average bill increase for our customers.
“Our unique not-for-profit model means we can ensure profits stay within the company for the benefit of customers."
