A WOMAN had to be freed from her car by firefighters after a crash on a Basingstoke roundabout.

The two-car collision took place at 7.15pm on Saturday, February 9 on the Binfields Roundabout in Chineham, by the exit to the Tesco supermarket.

A total of eight firefighters took 45 minutes at the scene, cutting a woman in her 40s from her Ford Fiesta. She suffered a suspected spinal injury in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Basingstoke hospital.
