MATT Le Tissier has taken to Twitter to congratulate the two main teams in his life for great results yesterday.

The Saints legend was first delighted to see that Guersney booked their place in the quarter finals of the FA Vase by beating Spalding United 3-1.

Then Le Tissier was further cheered by Saints’ incredible win over defending Premier League champions Manchester City.

Le Tissier tweeted: “Wow magnificent result/performances from both my teams today @SouthamptonFC @GuernseyFC #perfectsaturday #happyboy Le Tissier also retweeted a comment from former Manchester City chairman Francis Lee, the man who persuaded Alan Ball to quit as Saints manager to take over at Maine Road in the summer of 1995.

Lee wrote after Saints’ victory: “That's the worst performance I have seen from MCFC for years, utterly atrocious. Southampton much the better side & should have had a pen!”
