Best of both worlds

Sir – In reply to Charles Bidwell, asking about Nicola Blackwood’s views concerning gay marriage (Letters, February 7).

I received a letter from Nicola Blackwood, in which she explains that she abstained from voting for the Bill. However, we still do not know where she stands. I think she wants the best of both worlds. Hopefully she will come to a decision in the future, so that people who have voted for her in the past can decide if they will vote for her in the future.
