Saints fans to be surveyed on travel
Southampton City Council and Southampton Football Club are working in partnership to further improve the match day travel experience for both fans and Southampton residents.
The aim of the project is to reduce congestion in the city on match days and to encourage supporters to travel to the stadium more sustainably.
Each survey response will be entered into a prize draw to win tickets to home games against Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC.
This is a part of the My Journey project, an initiative being delivered by Southampton City Council that is designed to help people make better choices when it comes to getting around, encouraging a shift towards using sustainable forms of travel by providing new infrastructure in the city as well as useful information, products and services to help residents overcome the barriers to travelling sustainably.
The campaign is about encouraging people to consider making changes to their daily travel routines to save time and money, become healthier and fitter while helping the environment at the same time.
The overall aims of the project are to achieve a shift towards more sustainable modes of transport by 12 per cent, reduce the congestion in the city, support local economy and reduce carbon emissions.

The overall aim should be to make it easier for fans to make their own choices about how they want to get to the game.
Now let me see what the Labour Luvvies think this is about. The overall aims of the project are to achieve a shift towards more sustainable modes of transport by 12%, reduce the congestion in the city, support local economy and reduce carbon emissions.
